Updates released in Noxubee County shooting case
SUMMARY: Noxubee County Coroner R.L. Calhoun identified Breanna Alexus Franklin of Macon as the victim of an early morning shooting on Pearl Street. The incident occurred after 2 a.m. when a vehicle fired a shot through the passenger side window of her car, resulting in her death at the scene. Ciara Sharda Latham is charged with aggravated domestic violence and murder. The Macon Police Department, assisted by Columbus PD and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, is conducting the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Macon PD or Crimestoppers.

Oktibbeha county gets five new fire trucks for the county
SUMMARY: Oktibbeha County, Mississippi is upgrading its aging fire trucks to enhance emergency response. Fire Coordinator Patrick Warner highlighted the need due to repair issues with older trucks.
