Evening Weather(11/10): Scattered showers overnight taper off early Monday morning

SUMMARY: This morning in Knoxville, temperatures started at 58 degrees, nearly 20 degrees above the average low of 39, and peaked at 71, almost 10 degrees above average. This marks the warmest November opening on record at McGee Tyson Airport. A frontal boundary is expected to bring scattered showers overnight into Monday morning, clearing by the Veterans Day Parade with highs in the low 70s. Cooler, drier air will arrive Tuesday, bringing highs in the upper 60s. Midweek, another system may bring significant rain, with totals potentially reaching up to an inch, but temperatures will still remain above average.

Another front will move into the region midweek bringing rain chances and slightly cooler temps Wednesday night into Thursday.

PM Weather(1/26): A cloudier Sunday ahead while temps remain seasonable

SUMMARY: Today’s temperatures reached a normal high of 49 degrees but remained cooler than desired due to overcast skies. Tonight, some areas, particularly north of the plateau, may drop below freezing, while most regions will stay slightly above. Warmer weather is expected later in the week, with highs nearing 60 degrees by Wednesday. Showers will move in late tonight, with potential mixed precipitation, especially in the northern plateau and Smoky Mountains.
