Milder temperatures return with more unsettled weather to come

Southern Lights returns in 2024 to bring wonder and cheer to Kentucky Horse Park
SUMMARY: Southern Lights at Kentucky Horse Park returns for its 31st year, featuring over a million twinkling bulbs illuminating a three-mile route. Visitors can enjoy the experience from their cars, with extensive preparations ensuring the displays are brighter than ever, now mostly LED. After the driving tour, guests can explore Holiday Village, which includes activities like a petting zoo, camel rides, a train ride, and a chance to visit Santa. The event runs nightly until New Year’s Eve, except for Christmas night, and remains a beloved tradition for families in Lexington.
There’s still plenty of time to bring the family out to see the light show at the Kentucky Horse Park.
