Entergy crews work to restore power to Mississippians after Francine
SUMMARY: Crews in Mississippi are working to clear debris and restore power following the impacts of Storm Francine. Entergy Mississippi is addressing thousands of outages, particularly in Central Mississippi, with Rankin and Madison counties experiencing the most disruption. The Mississippi Department of Transportation has also deployed hundreds of crews to manage safety on open roadways, advising caution due to potential flooding and debris. Though there were concerns about extensive damage, officials are relieved it wasn’t as severe as anticipated. Once local power is restored, Entergy will assist customers in Louisiana.
