Elvis Presley mural in downtown Tupelo vandalized
SUMMARY: Downtown Tupelo is reeling after a popular mural of Elvis Presley was vandalized with yellow paint. The mural, located in Reeds Alley, was defaced Monday morning. Local artist Morris McCain, who created the piece, began repairs and is unfazed by the incident. This is not the first instance of vandalism; McCain previously had to repair a 3D model of Presley that was damaged by the same individual. Despite these challenges, McCain remains determined and plans to not only restore but enhance the mural. WTV’s Jake White reported live from the scene.
