SUMMARY: In about seven hours, voting results will start to be counted in Georgia, influencing local races and the next presidential election. Candidates need 270 electoral votes to win, with each state‘s electors based on its Congressional representation. Georgia has 16 electors due to its 14 US representatives and 2 senators. If no candidate reaches 270, the House of Representatives will decide the presidency. Notably, the popular vote winner has lost the Electoral College in two of the last six elections. Several bomb threats were received Tuesday morning after the polls opened in Fulton County. 2 locations were temporarily evacuated. No credible threats were found.
