Elderly woman robbed in Tupelo

SUMMARY: A woman in Tupelo was robbed at gunpoint in her home on North Chestnut Street. The robber threatened to blow her brains out if she was followed. The woman, Robbie Gutierrez, was talking on the phone when the man kicked in her door and demanded money. She gave him $296 and he also stole her pistol. The robber was described as a 45-year-old man with grayish-black hair and a mustache, wearing a blue sweater and jeans. The terrifying words “I’ll blow your brains out if you follow me” continue to haunt Gutierrez. Tupelo police are working to catch the suspect.
