Frustration nears boiling point over pipeline construction
SUMMARY: Local property owners are fighting against Phillips 66, which plans to build a crude oil pipeline through their land using eminent domain. Longtime farmer Don Crow describes the damage to his property, worsened by recent rainfall, which has transformed usable land into a muddy mess. Crow and neighbors, affected despite not having their land taken, are in district court contesting the project, which they argue is poorly managed. Phillips 66 claims the project serves a public good and that homeowners rejected fair compensation. Legal resolutions are anticipated to drag on into the following year, potentially increasing damage.

A brief tornado threat is also possible early Monday morning. Following the rain, colder air will enter the region, with projections indicating potential snow later next week as we approach Thanksgiving.

Veteran's home damaged following lightning strike
SUMMARY: U.S. Air Force veteran Dallas Norton is starting over after lightning struck his home during last week’s tornado outbreak, causing significant damage and fire. Though he escaped unharmed, he lost nearly everything, including cherished items and his home near Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City. While living in a hotel and separated from his dog, Annie, whom he had to rehome temporarily, Norton remains grateful to be alive. He reflects on saving some memories of his late father, including military medals. A GoFundMe page has been created to assist him in his recovery.
