Nearly every highway in South Mississippi is undergoing construction to improve or repair infrastructure. Major projects include widening I-10 in Harrison County to improve traffic flow, expected to be completed by 2027. The emergency bridge and road program, funded with $100 million but facing $900 million in applications, supports local bridge improvements. White emphasized the need for a state budget agreement to continue projects, assuring taxpayers that 97% of the budget directly funds road improvements.

The complex hosts weekend tournaments, boosting the local economy. Many residents were unaware of the tax’s impact but now see its value, funding not only new equipment but also park maintenance.
