Eagle Scout constructs Calisthenics Park in Laurel
SUMMARY: Taylor Graham, a Scout from Jones County, has completed his Eagle Scout project by revamping Mason Park in Laurel. He built a new calisthenics area at the walking track, with several pieces of equipment installed with help from his troop. Taylor, an upcoming sophomore at South Jones High School, expressed his gratitude to the community for the support he’s received throughout his life, stating he wanted to give back. The project materials were generously donated by Phillips Building Supply, Dixie Pump, and Trailhead Media, highlighting community involvement in the initiative.

SUMMARY: A 23-year-old man, Telin Loveless, is accused of carjacking at gunpoint outside a Walmart in Corinth. On Sunday, he allegedly threatened a victim in their vehicle, demanding they exit before driving away. The car was later found wrecked on Highway 365 in Tishomingo County. Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers located Loveless near the crash site. He is currently awaiting a bond hearing.
