Dusty conditions at Austin City Limits Music Festival cause 'ACL flu' | FOX 7 Austin
SUMMARY: Following this year’s Austin City Limits Music Festival, many attendees reported feeling ill, attributed to the dusty conditions rather than a specific illness. Dr. Ryan McCorkel from St. David’s Medical Center noted that the dry, windy environment contributes to respiratory symptoms, particularly as the event coincides with flu season. Symptoms include congestion, sore throat, and cough. To mitigate risks, he advises staying hydrated, wearing masks, and using allergy medications. Despite the discomfort, attendees like Bayy Sprag remain enthusiastic about the festival, highlighting the desire to see favorite artists despite potential health risks.
With the dry and dusty conditions at Austin City Limits Festival, many who attended are suffering from what some doctors call the “ACL flu”.

Robert Roberson execution: Texas judge issues injunction ahead of execution in 'shaken baby syndrome
SUMMARY: The execution of Texas death row inmate Robert Roberson is in limbo after a Travis County judge issued a temporary restraining order. Roberson, convicted in 2002 of killing his 2-year-old daughter, was set to be executed, but a bipartisan group of lawmakers subpoenaed him to testify next week, questioning the validity of the evidence against him. A civil court judge supported the subpoena, while the US Supreme Court denied a last-minute attempt to halt the execution. Lawmakers raised doubts about the original scientific basis for the conviction, prompting further investigations and protests outside the state prison.
A Travis County judge has issued a temporary injunction that could delay the controversial execution of Robert Roberson. Roberson would be the first person in the U.S. executed for a murder conviction tied to the diagnosis of shaken baby syndrome.
