Dump truck collides with power lines on Old Fannin Road

SUMMARY: A crash involving a dump truck and power lines on Old Fannin Road in Flowood, Mississippi may cause delays for drivers on December 20th. Flowood police have closed Old Fannin Road northbound from Flowood Drive to McLaurin Drive and southbound from McLaurin Drive to Flowood Drive. They are diverting traffic and recommending the use of Hugh Ward Boulevard or Grants Ferry Road as a detour to Spillway Road. Entergy is on the scene and estimates that it will take eight hours to fix the power lines, with potential power outages for customers during the repair.
