Drunk driver who killed Canton teacher sentenced to 23 years in prison

The teacher was named 2023-24 Teacher of the Year at Nicholls Middle School. Sullivan had purchased 20 mini bottles of liquor earlier that day and admitted to drinking. Despite the sentence, District Attorney Bubba Bramlett emphasized that nothing could bring back the victim.
