Donald Trump faces backlash for remarks about Georgia governor
SUMMARY: Governor Donald Trump criticized Republican Brian Kemp for nearly six minutes, despite Kemp’s strong bipartisan approval in Georgia following two election wins. Trump labeled Kemp as detrimental to the Republican Party, particularly for not calling a special session to overturn the 2020 election results. Former Republican state senator PK Martin and state representative Lauren Daniel expressed that attacking a popular leader like Kemp is a poor strategy for winning swing states. Online commenters echoed this sentiment, highlighting Trump’s claims as out-of-touch, suggesting that even the average voter recognizes the imprudence of his remarks.

Apalachee shooter's mom called school before shooting: Washington Post says | FOX 5 News
SUMMARY: Ariel Onot from Fox 5 news reports on the tragic school shooting at Appalache High School. The Washington Post revealed that the accused shooter’s mother warned school staff just minutes before the incident, urging them to find her son after he discussed a potential shooting. A school counselor spoke with her about half an hour prior, but confusion arose due to another student with a similar name. As a result, the school official mistakenly left with the wrong backpack. Neither the suspect nor the other student was present when the shooting occurred. Fox 5 Atlanta is working to confirm these details.
An exclusive report from the Washington Post says that the mother of Colt Gray, accused of a mass shooting at Apalachee High School, called the school the morning of the shooting.
