Domestic abuse hotline hopes to provide lifeline
SUMMARY: Brandy McGill, the assistant director of a local crisis line in Hattiesburg, is working to provide help and support to victims of domestic violence. The crisis line receives about 10 calls a day and is available 24/7. They ask callers about their situation and their location to better assist them. If a caller is in immediate danger, they will send help to ensure the safety of the victim and their family. The crisis line aims to help domestic violence victims overcome traumatic situations and become survivors. The number for the crisis line is 1-800-649-1092.
