Deputy treated for possible fentanyl exposure following arrests in Clay County

SUMMARY: A Clay County Sheriff Deputy had to go to the ER after coming into contact with drugs possibly laced with fentanyl, according to Sheriff Eddie Scott. Roughly a thousand ecstasy pills were found, and two brothers, Trayon and Timothy Huggins, were arrested for drug trafficking. The drugs were sent to the crime lab for testing. The deputy is okay after being checked out. No bond has been set for the brothers. The investigation is ongoing, with possible further arrests. The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Drug Enforcement Agency, and Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms are assisting in the investigation.
