DEA agent injured, suspect shot in Hattiesburg
SUMMARY: Agents from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) are probing an officer-involved shooting with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. During the transport of two suspects to a federal courthouse on June 3, a fight broke out between an agent and a suspect, resulting in the agent’s injury. A task force officer (TFO) then shot the suspect. Both the agent and the suspect were taken to a local hospital. Hattiesburg police closed West Pine Street for the investigation. MBI will present their findings to the Mississippi Attorney General‘s Office.

Girlfriend of man convicted killing two near Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade pleads guilty
SUMMARY: Jenny Lukens, the girlfriend of Jordan Cummins, who was convicted of killing two people during the Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade in March 2023, pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution.
