Dallas man who threatened to 'light up' Midlothian workplace sentenced to 40 years
SUMMARY: Jameson Whitaker, a 44-year-old convicted murderer, has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for making terroristic threats against his coworkers at Liberty Tire Recycling in Midlothian. He threatened to open fire with an AR-style rifle, which he showed to colleagues, stating he would issue a 30-second warning before shooting. Whitaker, a convicted felon, had previously been imprisoned for five years for aggravated assault and ten years for murder. His violent threats, which included showing a weapon equipped with armor-piercing rounds, raised significant alarm, leading to his arrest after a coworker reported him to management.
An Ellis County man was sentenced to 40 years in prison earlier this week after he threatened to โlight up” his workplace.
