Dallas city leaders apologize to Family Gateway CEO after roof repair delays lead to mold damage
SUMMARY: Dallas city officials apologized to Family Gateway’s CEO, Ellen Magnus, for delays in roof repairs that led to significant mold damage after a storm on May 28. The damage has closed the nonprofit’s childcare programs for nearly four months, affecting 50 families experiencing homelessness. City officials admitted to mistakes, citing a lack of budget for repairs. Although the roof was recently fixed, significant remediation is still needed. Did Arch Manning live up to the hype in his first UT start? | FOX 7 Austin
SUMMARY: In his first start as quarterback for the University of Texas, Arch Manning drew mixed reviews. One analyst graded him a B+, praising his deep-ball accuracy and arm strength, noting improvement over previous quarterbacks. Another gave him a C+, comparing his performance unfavorably to his predecessor against UTSA. Both agreed that he showed promise, with flashes of talent but also faced typical freshman challenges, including poor decisions leading to interceptions. Arch’s athleticism and ability to throw deep were highlighted, leading to optimism about his growth. Texas dominated ULM, demonstrating their depth and talent, particularly with strong performances from both starters and backups.
