Cruisin' Executive Director Woody Bailey reviews 2024 Cruisin' the Coast, looks ahead to 2025
SUMMARY: The 28th edition of Cruisin’ the Coast was celebrated with great success, marking a significant increase in attendance from its inception in 1996, which began with only 374 cars. Executive Director Woody Bailey highlighted the event’s growth and the importance of word-of-mouth promotion from returning attendees. The event now spans all 12 cities in South Mississippi, spreading economic benefits throughout the region. Many attendees are even considering relocating to the Gulf Coast. Looking ahead, next year’s event will likely move from Centennial Plaza to Jones Park due to construction, but organizers remain optimistic about maintaining a vibrant atmosphere.
