County Road 11: Meridian Museum Art Collective Mural Group preserves history
SUMMARY: The Meridian Museum Art Collective mural group is creatively preserving local history through their latest project, a mural celebrating the Coca-Cola Bottling Company, which began operations in Meridian in 1902. The mural will feature an original mule-drawn delivery wagon, likely the only one in the U.S., serving as its centerpiece. Inspired by Coca-Cola’s history and its connection to Meridian, the artwork incorporates vintage elements, including a Coca-Cola lady from the early 1900s and historical buildings. The group has more projects planned, inviting community involvement to enhance Meridian’s charm through beautiful murals. Reported by Anna Williams for WT News 11.
