Walk to bring awareness to mental health issues staged Saturday in Hattiesburg
SUMMARY: The Pine Bell chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) held its Ninth Annual NAMI Walks event today at Town Square Park, aiming to raise awareness and funds for advocacy and education. Dozens of participants walked multiple laps around the park, with over a dozen vendors representing community organizations. The chapter aims to raise $15,000 this year, an increase from last year’s goal of $10,000, and has already collected $11,000. Leaf River provides safety funding
SUMMARY: Leaf River Energy has donated approximately $5,000 to several emergency response agencies in the Pine Belt, including the Jasper County EMA and Stringer Fire Department.
