Construction of RV resort in Gulf Park Estates moving forward after judge ruling
SUMMARY: Plans to build an RV resort in Gul Park Estates are progressing following a judge's ruling against a lawsuit aimed at stopping the development. Residents of Gul Park Estates opposed the Ocean Springs Island RV Resort on the old Pine Islands Golf Course, citing traffic, noise concerns, and zoning restrictions. In December, the Jackson County Board of Supervisors approved a zoning exception, allowing the resort to proceed. The $30 million luxury RV project had been on hold due to the lawsuit. Developer Adam Dial expressed confidence and stated that the first phase could open in 12 to 18 months.
The planned construction of an RV park in Gulf Park Estates will continue following the decision of a judge in the lawsuit to stop development.
