Community Vacation Bible School Offered July 15-19 at Velma Young Center in Meridian

Driver arrested for DUI after crashing into Jackson outreach center

Bookmobile ready to roll for Laurel-Jones County Library
SUMMARY: The Laurel Jones County bookmobile, “Lottie,” is set to roll through the community, offering educational resources typically found at the library. The library transformed a 1989 Chance trolley, funded by grants and donations, to reach rural areas lacking transportation. Director Karen Walsh highlighted that the bookmobile will provide not only books but also laptops, Wi-Fi, printing, faxing, STEAM kits, Legos, and senior services. Lottie will be in the community two to three days a week, with a schedule in development. Residents can also sign up for library cards.
