Community Reaction: Bridge reopens one year later in Tupelo
SUMMARY: After being closed for over a year, the Little Kunoa Creek Bridge on West Main Street in Tupelo has reopened. The bridge, located near Steel's Dive and Old Highway 6, was shut down due to corrosion on its support pilings. The community is thrilled as the closure had negatively impacted local businesses. With the bridge back in service, businesses expect to regain lost sales, and employees appreciate the return of their regular commute. The reopening improves travel and convenience for residents, restoring normalcy to their daily routines and aiding local economic recovery.
