Community rallies for Gauthreaux family after fatal DUI crash
SUMMARY: In Gretna, a family is mourning the tragic loss of Hubert Goo III’s grandparents, killed by an alleged drunk driver, just weeks after their grandson’s death in a Bourbon Street terror attack. The crash occurred Saturday evening when 31-year-old Steven Warz, reportedly speeding and driving with a suspended license, crashed into multiple vehicles, ultimately striking the couple’s parked car. Community members gathered to support the grieving family, as the Goo family, well-known in the area, copes with this unimaginable tragedy. Tributes of flowers and notes have been left in downtown Gretna to honor their memory.

Victoria and Hubert Gauthreaux recently retired to Mississippi but came back to Gretna often to visit family.

Warm weekend, storms arrive Monday

New Orleans 10pm Weather: Warm weekend ahead
