Police responded to a domestic violence call and found Jeremy dead from a single gunshot wound. Both Kadejah and Jeremy had a prior history of domestic violence. The shooting, which was captured on social media, followed an argument between the couple.

Mississippi teen pleads guilty to slaying mentor in Madison

SUMMARY: A 19-year-old Mississippian, Dawton Gage Whatley of Walls, has pled guilty to second-degree murder. He admitted to fatally shooting Lemetrius Hollins, whom he previously lived with and who had served as his guardian and mentor. Whatley, already in custody in Washington County for unrelated charges, confessed to the crime. He was subsequently transported to Madison County and charged with murder.
