Columbus murder trial: Testimony continues
SUMMARY: In a Columbus felony murder trial, prosecutors called the man who conducted the autopsy on the victim, Harvey Montrell Johnson Jr. A former detective from the Columbus Police Department also testified. The defendant, Tommy Lee Flowers Jr., faced charges of felony murder, directing a youth to commit a felony, possession of a stolen firearm, and shooting into a dwelling, along with three counts of aggravated assault. The crimes took place in March and April of 2022, with investigators believing Johnson was shot while driving away from a shooting incident on Poplar Street. Testimony was expected to continue the next day.
