Columbus looks at next steps in revitalizing Propst Park

SUMMARY: The City of Columbus is in the process of revitalizing its premier park. Consultants hired by the city are working on negotiating a $3 million bond issue for park improvements, but they want to see the completion of the 2021 financial audit first in order to get a better rate on the bonds. The initial $1.5 million will be used to resurface baseball fields at Propst Park with turf. The mayor is urging the city to move forward with the improvements and ensure that the park benefits the entire community. Plans for the improvements can be seen at Columbus City Hall.
