Columbus High School’s first graduating class looks to clean up community
SUMMARY: The Columbus High School Class of 1993 recently celebrated their 30-year reunion by cleaning up their neighborhood at Sim Scott Park in Columbus, Mississippi. This class holds a special significance as they were the first to graduate from Columbus High School after the district consolidated Lee and Caldwell High Schools. Friends Stephanie Jones and Kessa Thompson, who attended separate schools before the consolidation, were excited to come together with their classmates again. Thompson emphasized the importance of getting to know classmates and cherishing life, as they have already lost 24 classmates. The reunion will continue with more events.
