Columbia Police Department honors fallen officers Friday

SUMMARY: Multiple enforcement agencies in the Pine Belt region are participating in a campaign to honor fallen who died while serving and protecting the community. Since 1968, law enforcement officers have died in the line of duty in the Columbia area. To commemorate their sacrifice, a memorial stone was dedicated, serving as a reminder to the community of the brave individuals who put on a uniform and did not go home. Through this gathering and memorial, the community is reminded of the sacrifices made by these officers.
