SUMMARY: Alcorn State Braves are gearing up for their upcoming football season opener against Southern Miss. The Alcorn State Braves have been playing under the radar in the SWAC the last few seasons but they could the dark horse to come out of the West Division and be in contention for the SWAC title. The Braves feel they are in position to make some noise in the SWAC but they put everyone on notice this weekend when they play Southern Miss to start the year.
