Cold front moves through, but rain returning
SUMMARY: Tomorrow marks the first Saints game, and everyone is encouraged to wear black and gold, including the crew behind the camera. The weather is expected to be cooler and drier, with a slight chance of light rain. A cold front moving through will bring improvements, although some light showers may linger near New Orleans. A flood watch is in effect for certain areas, while the tropics show a wave near the Yucatan with minimal concerns. Rain is anticipated to return Monday through Wednesday. The weekend should be mostly dry, with pleasant temperatures and lower humidity for game day.

SAPD: Woman used 87-year-old’s identity to go car shopping
SUMMARY: San Antonio police arrested 41-year-old Cassandra Trevino for using the identity of an 87-year-old woman to seek loans and purchase cars. Between October and February, Trevino allegedly made 46 unauthorized attempts to use the victim’s credit while already out on bond for another fraud case. The community is increasingly aware of schemes targeting seniors, as highlighted by Marian Thomas, a participant at the Blessed Angel Senior Center. Officials emphasize the need for vigilance among family, friends, and financial institutions to protect vulnerable individuals from scams, which are frequently aimed at scamming the elderly.

A woman accused of stealing a local senior’s identity and then using her credit history to go car shopping is facing criminal charges, according to an arrest affidavit.
