A weather impact alert is in effect until 9 AM, with similar alerts for Monday and Tuesday mornings as temperatures are expected to dip into the 20s. Arctic air has spread across the South, affecting temperatures nationwide. While North Georgia will enjoy sunny conditions today with highs near 50°F, a cold front is expected on Monday, bringing more cold air. The region may start to thaw by midweek, with highs reaching the mid-50s.
Wind chills early in the week will be dropping into the teens and low 20s each morning.

Committee on AI unanimously approves recommendations, encourages use | Georgia

Remaining YSL defendants learn their fates
SUMMARY: In a concluding session of the YSL trial, defendants Diamon Kendrick (Yakti) and Shannon Stillwell learned their fates. Kendrick was acquitted of all charges, including murder, while Stillwell was found guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and sentenced to 10 years, with credit for time served. Jurors deliberated for four days, rejecting allegations that the defendants were part of a violent gang conspiracy. Both defense teams expressed satisfaction with the verdicts, noting the jury’s careful consideration of evidence. Despite the outcomes, both men remain in custody due to additional pending cases.
The remaining YSL defendants — Deamonte Kendrick and Shannon Stillwell — in the current trial learned their fates in a Fulton County courtroom this morning. Both men were found not guilty of the most serious charges.

Bystanders rescue driver after car goes over cliff in California
