Clinton drive-by and house fire connected to Jackson homicide

SUMMARY: Clinton have increased neighborhood patrols after an apparent retaliation a recent murder in Jackson. Fire Marshal investigators examined a Clinton house that may have been intentionally set on fire as retribution. A witness reported seeing two males pouring an accelerant around the house's perimeter before attempting to ignite it. Earlier that same day, Clinton Police responded to shots fired at the same house. Authorities connected this -by shooting to Juan Taylor's shooting in Jackson. Jeremiah Hampton is still at large, believed to be driving a 2021 black Nissan Altima with a license plate.

Marion County school supply drive seeking donors
