Clerical error causes duplicate absentee ballots for some voters in Athens
SUMMARY: The director of the Athens-Clark County Elections Department attributed a clerical error for sending a second absentee ballot to approximately 725 voters. The mistake originated from issues with their mailing list. However, the department reassures that the statewide election system prevents voters from casting more than one ballot. Director Charlotte Sby stated that they are reaching out to each affected voter via expedited mail, email, or phone to clarify the situation and provide guidance on the absentee ballots.

MTG on DOGE: 'The American people's money has truly been stolen' | FOX 5 News
SUMMARY: During a meeting discussing improper payments, it was revealed that significant fraud has led to the theft of American taxpayers’ money. Social Security numbers of deceased individuals, including those over 115 years old, have been exploited by criminals to obtain federal funds unlawfully. Elon Musk and the Doge committee are collaborating on this issue, emphasizing the need for bipartisan action to address these financial abuses. Proposed “Doge Cuts” aim to formalize solutions through legislative measures. The ongoing challenges highlight outdated systems within federal agencies and the importance of reform to prevent further losses to fraud.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (Dist. 14) explained what was discussed during Wednesday night’s DOGE meeting with Republican lawmakers. She said DOGE has found that the American people are being robbed by criminals.

Welcome to pollen season | FOX 5 News
SUMMARY: The first day of spring, or spring equinox, falls on March 20th, and forecasts indicate severe allergy-inducing weather will affect much of the nation. Experts anticipate that warmer, wetter conditions will lead to increased pollen production, triggering allergy symptoms for millions. As seasonal allergies appear to be intensifying due to climate change, health professionals recommend early prevention, advising individuals to start treatment about a month before symptoms typically begin. Common treatments include antihistamines and corticosteroids. It’s also recommended to spend time outdoors during midday when pollen levels are lower and to wash off allergens after exposure.

The first day of spring or the spring equinox is Thursday, March 20, and forecasts estimate much of the nation is in store for severe allergies inducing weather. Medical experts say you should be using the time you have left to prepare — before the pollen really starts exploding.
