City of Waveland hosts back-to-school event for community
SUMMARY: A back-to-school bash is starting tomorrow in the city of Waveland. The event will be held at the Lighthouse and will feature food trucks, including Bayou Snowballs handing out free snowballs to help beat the heat. The party was attended by Waveland fire and police officers to support the kids before their first day of school. Rhonda Aime-Gamble, the City of Waveland Ward 1 alderman, mentioned that the first day of school can be scary, but the fear won’t last long because the kids are going to get in there and make friends.

Ahead of the busy school year, the city provided dozens of kids a chance to kick back and relax one last time before they open their textbooks.
