City of Meridian makes improvements to Northeast Park

SUMMARY: The upcoming senior class will be pleased to know that a two million dollar project funded by the state and carried out by Conerly Construction will be completed soon. The city of Meridian is continuing to improve its parks, with city crews recently paving the parking lot around the softball fields at Northeast Park. Other upgrades included installing cantilever shades at Planet Playground and upgrading the metal picnic benches. There are also plans to install pickleball courts at Northeast Park. The director of parks and recreation, Thomas Adams, says this will make Meridian a place that people want to come and enjoy with these new facilities.
