SUMMARY: With about 150 days until Christmas, the Salvation Army of Central Kentucky is preparing for its Angel Tree program, which helps families in need. Last year, nearly 4,000 in Lexington received gifts through this initiative, preventing from choosing between gifts and essentials. Donors can adopt whole families this year, instead of individual children, to fulfill their wish lists. Popular requested items include dolls, toys, STEM kits, and fishing sets. The Salvation Army is currently seeking donors to families by gifts to ensure every child has something to open on Christmas morning.

Once Christmas rolls around, many families are left with a difficult choice: either paying for groceries or bills or getting their kids something to open on Christmas morning.
