Changes could be made to buying and selling homes
SUMMARY: Next week, changes in home buying and selling processes will be introduced in Mississippi due to new commission rules settled by the National Association of Realtors. Sellers will no longer be required to pay the buyers’ agents’ commissions, and buyers must now sign contracts to establish terms with their agents before making offers. This shift aims to enhance transparency in real estate transactions. Listing agents can no longer display buyer-side commissions in Multiple Listing Services. The new regulations are set to take effect on August 17 and are intended to benefit both parties in the market.

As the last living WWII veteran of the Andrew Lawhon Detachment of the Marine Corps League, Brown emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of previous generations and continuing to serve as engaged citizens.

SUMMARY: In Canton, Mississippi, the family of Booker T. Henry seeks answers following his shooting death early Sunday morning near LC Greenwood and Walnut Street.
