Chaney may sue CMS over creation of state insurance exchange if Gov. Reeves doesn’t sign off
SUMMARY: Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney is reconsidering plans for a Mississippi state health insurance exchange, previously contingent on Governor Tate Reeves’ approval. SUMMARY: An 18-year-old named Jerry Carredondo-Rocha was arrested in Mississippi for his alleged involvement in a kidnapping case from North Carolina. The Brandon Police received a tip from the Wake County Sheriff’s Office regarding a vehicle linked to the abduction of a juvenile. SUMMARY: Investigations are ongoing in Mississippi after possible human remains were discovered in Leake and Kosciusko counties on Sunday. In Leake County, a deer hunter found a body on private property, but identification was challenging due to decomposition. Law enforcement is treating it as a death investigation, with remains sent to a crime lab for examination. Separately, skeletal remains were found near a home in Kosciusko. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is involved, and results from both cases may take several months to be determined.
