SUMMARY: Latino-owned businesses, including restaurants, construction, retail, and real estate, are the fastest-growing type of small businesses in the US. In North Mississippi, Hispanic entrepreneurs are making a difference in their local economies. Two business owners, MO leus and Meel Rera, share their experiences. MO leus owns a restaurant, Nikos, in downtown New Albany, and has been in the restaurant industry for a long time. Meel Rera is a realtor and owner of a construction business and aims to help her community own their own property. Both entrepreneurs face challenges but are dedicated to giving back to their communities.

Hispanic entrepreneurs continue to bring restaurants, construction, retail and real estate into North Mississippi.
