HPD update: Police find man dead after neighbor calls 911 on group of men with rifles in parking lot
SUMMARY: Lieutenant Riley of the Houston Police Department is investigating a homicide in the 14700 block of West Oaks Plaza Drive, which occurred around 11 p.m. Officers responded to reports of suspicious individuals with rifles shooting in an apartment complex. Upon arrival, they found an open garage and discovered shell casings. Entering the residence, they found one deceased adult male, believed to be linked to a narcotics-related incident gone wrong. A large amount of drugs was located inside the residence. Suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, and police are seeking video recordings and witnesses.
Police said the caller reported that a group of five to six men with rifles were shooting guns in the area.
