Carolina Shores Acceleration Academy redefines the high school experience
SUMMARY: Carolina Shores Acceleration Academy in North Myrtle Beach offers a unique, flexible educational experience, resembling a café more than a traditional school. Students create their own schedules, spending 12 hours each on-site and at home. The diverse student body includes those who struggled in conventional settings, teen parents, and others needing support. The curriculum is online, with credentialed teachers available as content coaches to assist students at their own pace. Founded in September with just 18 students, enrollment has surged to 282, reflecting a growing demand for this innovative approach to learning and student engagement.

It’s unlike any traditional high school you’ve likely ever seen before.
Carolina Shores Acceleration Academy in North Myrtle Beach offers a change of pace.

Massive bridge project just one month away in downtown Greenville
SUMMARY: The Church Street Bridge in downtown Greenville is set for a $30 million renovation project, starting April 15th, and expected to last until March 2026. The bridge, built in the 1950s, has deteriorated with potholes and rust. The project will expand sidewalks, add new lighting, handrails, and barrier walls. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction, causing congestion. While residents welcome the improvements, they are concerned about the impact on traffic. City leaders encourage locals to explore alternative routes during construction. Updates are available on the 29bridge.info website.
