SUMMARY: Alderman Tony Herro of Calhoun City is in jail for the second time in a year, facing charges of aggravated assault and strong-armed robbery. Sheriff Greg Pollan reported that a victim claimed two men, including Herro, chased and assaulted him, causing serious injuries, and stole items from his pockets at an elementary school. Warrants were issued following video evidence of the attack, and the other suspect's name will be released once arrested. SUMMARY: An investigation is underway in Pedal following an early morning shooting that left 27-year-old Bernell Gold dead. Around 3:15 a.m., a woman reported to Pedal Police that her ex-boyfriend was banging on her door. After he forced his way inside, another man in the home shot him. Gold later died at the hospital. The Forest County Coroner identified the deceased, and no arrests have been made yet. The investigation continues.
