'Buy more time': Can beach renourishment combat rising sea levels?

Throughout the spring, Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company will renourish the Grand Strand beaches under a $72 million contract from the United States Army Corps of Engineers Charleston District.

Some experts are questioning how long renourishment (adding sand to the beaches to repair damages after large storms) will be an effective method.
