Burn Ban lifted from certain Mississippi State Parks and State Lakes

SUMMARY: The , Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) has lifted the burn ban on 10 Mississippi Parks and two State Lakes, allowing visitors to use propane or gas grills and heaters, as well as charcoal grills. However, all other State Parks and State Lakes are still under a burn ban, prohibiting the use of open fires. Violations of the burn ban can result in fines ranging from $100 to $500. The MDWFP will continue to monitor weather conditions and make decisions to ensure the safety of parks, lakes, guests, and staff.
