Boys and Girls Club of the Gulf Coast hosting Taste of the Future fundraiser
SUMMARY: The Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast is hosting its annual Taste of the Future fundraiser on November 1st from 6-10 PM at the Bay St. Louis Community Hall. This board-led event will feature several local restaurants offering a variety of food samples. Attendees will also enjoy live music from the band Unfaced. The fundraiser supports the Boys and Girls Club’s various programs and aims to positively impact local youth. 2024’s Hancock County Youth of the Year, Trey Allen, shared his pride in the honor and the positive influence of the club on young people. Hancock girls golf win back-to-back 6A state titles
SUMMARY: The Hancock girls’ golf team has established a dominant legacy, winning nine straight region titles and three of the last five 6A state titles. Dedicated and hardworking, the players, including senior Kinley Archer, emphasize daily commitment to improvement, motivating each other even during tough rounds. Sophomore Carsten Alti appreciates the inspiration from her college-bound sister, while eighth grader Mary Taylor expresses excitement for the future. Despite the bittersweet departure of seniors, the team maintains a strong bond and commitment to excellence. The girls continue to train vigorously and supportively as they represent Hancock proudly.
The Hawks have won three out of the last five 6A state titles, and the ones they haven’t won, they’ve been the runner-ups.

WXXV 3rd Annual Viewers Choice Awards
SUMMARY: The WXXV News 25 team hosted the third annual WXXV Viewers’ Choice Awards at the Ground Zero Blues Club, bringing together local businesses and organizations to celebrate their achievements in South Mississippi.
