Bollinger Shipyards in Pascagoula awarded $951 million icebreaker contract

The first heavy polar icebreaker in nearly 50 years is slated for completion by 2030. This investment aims to modernize the U.S. Coast Guard’s aging icebreaker fleet. Bollinger’s growth, bolstered by federal and state leaders’ support, has resulted in over 1,000 jobs and significant infrastructure improvements since 2022.
