Shane Beasley, TVA’s transmission siting manager, announced plans for an 18-mile power line from Clay to Artesia, aimed at enhancing transmission capacity and reliability to support the region’s residential and commercial growth. The event allowed community members to interact with decision-makers and express concerns about the project, including easement payments and structure designs. TVA is currently gathering input, with a preferred route decision expected in Spring 2025 and an anticipated service start date in 2028.
